As we are approaching the coming of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, we are told in the epistle of Paul to Timothy, that in these last days, there would be terrible troublesome times. The bible says in Isaiah 60;1,2 that there would be gross darkness all around the world. But God instructs us to let our light shine, because the glory of the Lord is risen upon us. Well, that was a prophecy given to the children of God which needs to be fulfilled in our lives.
Brothers and sisters, though there is darkness in the world, you don’t belong to the world. Jesus said we are not of this world, we are from above. We are born of God through His incorruptible Word. It is His Word, that is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. But this Word of God is not external it is in your spirit. The bible shows us that the Spirit of the man is the candle of the Lord searching the inner parts of the Spirit. So, God is reminding each of us that there is a Light given to us in our spirits through His Word which can be our guiding lamp. Therefore, a Christian cannot walk in darkness as long as He/she walks in God’s word.
As we walk in the Light of God’s Word we not only walk without stumbling but also can lead others into Christ. Job confesses that when God’s light shined upon Him (i.e in his spirit) he was able to walk through the darkness around him. Therefore, no matter how dark your situation is, no matter the darkness in the world around you, if you can fill yourself with God’s Word, to instruct you, then You can come out victoriously and declare like David. He said “even though I walk through the valley of shadow of death I will fear no Evil because Lord You are with me”. God’s want you to have the same testimony like David. Let the Light of God’s Word shine in you and guide you today & every day and cause you to walk in victory 24X7. Be blessed in Jesus mighty name! Amen.
Isa 60:1-2
Dear Heavenly father I believe in Jesus Christ the son of the living God. I believe He died for me, and I believe God raised Him from the dead and He is alive today. I declare with my mouth Jesus Christ is my savior & the lord of my life from this day. I receive eternal life into my spirit. Thank u lord for saving me, I’m born again in Jesus name! Amen!
